Honeybee Flower Farm evolved from my passion for creating landscapes and the habitats which they provide. Walking around my five acre farm, many are surprised it was completely covered in grain corn when I purchased it in 2010. Beginning with a blank slate, my farm is now a haven for all kinds of birds and beneficial insects. Until July of 2018, I was working a full time job with all of the benefits and steady paycheck for the Maryland Department of Agriculture while also growing my flower business, but after 17.5 years, I decided it was time to focus all of my energy towards my true passion of growing and providing flowers for special events, the farmers market and to other florists. My education includes a degree from Virginia Tech in Environmental Policy and Planning with an emphasis in Forestry. Yet, most of my education comes from the real world including gypsy moth trapping, the landscaping industry, backpacking, personal gardener, and trial by errors.
